About Hunter Paul

Our baby boy, Hunter Paul, was born deaf on March 12, 2011. He has the highest degree of deafness that exists. Hunter was implanted on March 27, 2012 and, the implants were activated on April 27, 2012. After genetic testing was done April 4, 2012, we found out on May 11th that he has Usher Syndrome Type 1C.

We created this blog to help keep our family and friends updated on our son's journey, and to journal his exciting milestones, including some that may be a little tougher than others. I hope our story can help ease another family's worries as so many other families have eased mine. This is our journey to obtaining cochlear implants for a very special set of angelic ears, and to push to find a cure for those angelic blue eyes.

Please support our baby boy with your positive thoughts and many prayers. He may not be what is considered an ordinary child, but that is because he is extra-ordinary!
